Can you print a pattern across all sides of a perfume carton?
Yes, full colour print covers the front, back, both sides and the top and base flaps. Patterns are set to wrap across the creases without a gap.

Written prices from £0.25 a box. Free proof, made in 4–6 business days, free tracked UK delivery.
Folding perfume cartons printed edge to edge, from a rose pattern in full colour to black type on gold metallic board. Our designers lay out the panels for free and you approve a proof before the press runs.

Printed perfume boxes are folding cartons with your artwork printed across the outer panels, and inside if you want it.
They are made to the bottle's capped height, in plain, one colour, two colour or full colour CMYK print. Finishes such as lamination, foil and spot UV are options, and everything is confirmed on a written quote.
Coverage.
A printed perfume box carries artwork across every outer panel, not a logo on the front and bare board elsewhere. Pattern wraps around the corners, the top flap matches the sides and the base is not forgotten.
The second difference is the back panel. A printed carton gives the volume, the ingredient list, the batch area and the UK contact details their own set space, laid out to be read.
The carton itself stays simple: folding boxboard, a tuck end top and base, glued down one side. The print is where the work goes.
Brands selling in volume through marketplaces and gift shops rely on the printed carton most.
It is the box that sits on a shelf next to twenty rivals and has to be picked up first.
Seasonal editions are a second use. A rose pattern for Valentine's, a pastel for Mother's Day and a plain black for the rest of the year can all share one carton size.
Salons and small perfume studios use them to move from a hand-applied label to a proper carton without the cost of rigid. Our perfume gift boxes for sets and bundles cover the rigid route when a line grows.
White folding boxboard gives the truest colour.
A rose pink prints as rose pink, and a photograph keeps its detail.
Metallic board is a different route. A gold or silver sheet printed with black or a single dark colour looks like foil across the whole box, without the foil cost. The photo on this page shows a black-on-gold carton done that way.
Kraft board mutes everything. Full colour on kraft looks warm and flat, which suits a natural brand but will not give a bright red.
| Board | What your colours do | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| White boxboard, about 350 gsm | Print true and bright | Photography, pastels, strong brand colours |
| Gold or silver metallic board | Dark inks sit on a metal sheen; light inks vanish | Black or navy type, a foil look on a budget |
| Kraft board | Colours go warm and softer | Natural or apothecary styling with one or two colours |
| Textured or linen board | Fine detail softens slightly | Heritage brands, embossed crests |
You do not need print-ready files.
Send a logo, your colours and any pattern or photo, and our designers lay the panels out on the dieline for free.
If you already have a designer, we send the dieline for your size and they drop the artwork in. Either way you get a proof showing every panel flat and a mock-up of the folded box.
Vector files keep type crisp at small sizes. A JPG logo is fine for a large front mark but will blur in a 6 pt ingredient list, so send the text as text.
Full colour CMYK covers anything: gradients, photos, a pattern with twelve shades.
Most brands with a pattern on the box end up here.
One colour print is a single ink on the board. Black on white, or white on kraft, reads as deliberate and costs less. Two colour print adds a second ink, often a brand colour beside black.
Metallic looks come from foil stamping or metallic board rather than ink, so plan for one of those if the name must shine. Our beauty packaging print finishes guide compares the two.
A printed carton gets handled, so a lamination option is worth having.
Gloss lamination deepens colour and wipes clean. Matt lamination flattens it and hides fingerprints.
Soft touch lamination gives the velvet hand that fragrance buyers expect, at the cost of showing scuffs on dark colours over time.
Spot UV over a laminated pattern makes part of the print shine while the rest stays flat. That is how a rose motif glints under shop lighting.
UK cosmetic rules want the nominal volume, the ingredient list, a batch code and the function if not obvious.
The responsible person's name and address go on too. Warnings and a period-after-opening symbol go on as well where they apply.
That is a lot of text for a 45 mm wide panel. We set it in a clear sans at 6 pt or larger and keep the batch area blank for your inkjet or sticker.
The packaging checklist for launching a brand lists each item so nothing is missed at proof stage.
Measure the bottle's widest point and its height with the cap on.
Add about 3 mm to the width and depth and 5 mm to the height for a carton without a platform.
A card platform glued into the base holds the bottle off the floor and stops it sliding. Allow 10 mm more height when you want one.
If the cap is wider than the bottle, measure the cap. A 50 ml bottle with a chunky 40 mm cap needs a box cut to the cap, not the glass.
A pattern that runs off the edges makes the box look larger than it is.
Keep the name in the top third of the front panel, where eyes land first.
Give the side panels a job too. In a shop a row of cartons shows its sides as often as its fronts, so a stripe of colour or a repeated motif helps.
Print the base panel a solid colour. It costs nothing extra on a full colour run and hides scuffs from the shelf edge.
Small white text on a light pastel panel is the one we see most.
It looks fine on a screen and vanishes on board.
Another is a photo that crosses a crease. Faces and bottles split across a fold never look right, so keep them inside a single panel.
The last is approving the proof without reading the back panel aloud. A wrong volume or a missing postcode means a reprint at your cost, so check it twice.
Message us the bottle size, a rough quantity and your artwork, or just a logo if that is all you have.
Quotes start from £0.25 per unit, are set per order and arrive in writing.
Once the free proof is signed off, the run takes 4 to 6 business days. It then ships free with tracking to any UK address in 2 to 3 business days. Misprints or damage reported within 10 days with photos are reprinted or refunded, and the Design Your Packaging page is the quickest place to start.
Choose a real photo of the box you have in mind, put your logo on it, pick a colour and finish, and send it over. Our designers turn it into a free, print-ready proof.

The more we know about what goes inside, the bottle or jar, the quantity and the look you are after, the sharper the price. A packaging specialist replies within one business day with a written quote and a free design proof.

Usually yes, because of the extra inks. The difference shrinks on larger runs, and the written quote shows both if you ask.
Yes, metallic board is an option. Dark inks sit well on it and light inks disappear, so plan the artwork in black, navy or a deep colour.
A lamination option protects the print. Gloss or matt lamination resists rubbing, and soft touch feels best but marks more on dark colours.
Yes, the back panel is set for the ingredient list, volume, batch area and UK contact details. Send the text in a document rather than an image so it stays sharp.
Yes, a shared layout with a colour or name change per scent is common. Each version is proofed separately before printing.
A card platform in the base is available on request. It holds the bottle still and adds about 10 mm to the box height.
PDF, AI, EPS or SVG are best. High resolution PNG or JPG is fine for a large logo but not for small text.
