How deep is a loofah soap box?
Usually 40 to 50 mm, because a loofah slice set in soap is thicker than a plain bar. We cut to the thickness you give us.

A loofah soap bar is thicker and lighter than a plain bar, and the loofah slice is the thing worth showing. We make deeper tuck end cartons for them, with a window over the fibre or a printed loofah on the front, and plain cartons for loofah sponges and pads.

| Product | Typical box size |
|---|---|
| Round loofah soap, 85 mm across x 40 mm | About 95 x 95 x 45 mm |
| Rectangular loofah soap, 100 x 65 x 40 mm | About 110 x 75 x 45 mm |
| Loofah soap on a cotton loop | About 110 x 100 x 45 mm with a hang slot |
| Loofah sponge slice, 100 mm across | About 110 x 110 x 50 mm |
| Three loofah pads | About 130 x 130 x 80 mm lid and base |
Loofah boxes are printed cartons for exfoliating loofah soap bars and for dried loofah sponges.
They are cut deeper than a standard soap box, because a loofah slice set in soap is usually 35 to 45 mm thick, and they often have a window so the fibre texture shows. Each box is made to your product size.
Look at the two cartons in our photos.
One is a peach tuck box for a citrus loofah soap, with a big loofah slice printed across the front and a strip of icons down the side. The other is a tall apple-patterned carton with a slot window that shows the dark fibre of the bar inside.
Both are loofah boxes: cartons made for a soap bar with a slice of loofah set into it, or for the loofah itself sold as a sponge.
The difference from a plain soap box is depth. A loofah bar is thicker, so the carton is cut 40 to 50 mm deep rather than 30 mm.
Loofah products sit between soap and bath accessories, and the sellers come from both sides.
Makers who also sell plain exfoliating bars without the fibre can match the two with a carton from our range of printed soap boxes in the same print.
Measure the bar across the loofah, not just the soap.
The fibre often stands proud of the soap by a few millimetres and compresses a little under a lid.
A round loofah bar about 85 mm across and 40 mm thick needs a box of about 95 x 95 x 45 mm. A rectangular bar about 100 x 65 x 40 mm needs about 110 x 75 x 45 mm.
Allow a few millimetres more than you would for a plain bar. Loofah slices are cut by hand and vary in thickness, so a snug box for one bar is a tight box for the next. More bar and box pairings are in the UK cosmetic box sizes chart.
| Loofah product | Measure | Box to ask for |
|---|---|---|
| Round loofah soap | Diameter across the fibre, thickness at the thickest point | Square tuck end, 10 mm over on each side |
| Rectangular loofah soap | Length, width and thickness across the fibre | Tuck end, 10 mm over, 5 mm deeper |
| Loofah on a cotton loop | Bar size plus loop length folded flat | Tuck end with a hang slot in the top flap |
| Whole loofah sponge | Length and widest point when dry | Long tuck end or lid and base |
Usually yes.
The loofah fibre is the reason the customer is buying, and it photographs badly on a printed label. A window puts the real thing in front of them.
Place the window on the fibre side of the bar. On a round bar that is the top; on a rectangular bar it may be the long edge, which is why the apple carton in our photo has a slot window low on the front.
Clear film on request keeps the fibre clean on a shelf. For a sponge sold dry, an open window is fine. The window boxes for soap bars page goes into window shapes in more detail.
Loofah bars are light for their size, so the board does not need to be heavy.
White folding boxboard about 350 gsm takes a full colour print of fruit, coffee beans or oats. Kraft board suits a plain scrub range with one colour print.
Rigid, board and finish choices are quoted on request. A matt lamination is the finish most makers choose, because a loofah bar is sold near water and the carton gets handled with damp hands.
If you print a loofah slice on the front, as the peach box does, a spot UV layer on the fibre pattern gives it a texture you can feel. The spot UV and lamination guide shows the effect.
Loofah cartons tend to be taller than they are wide, which leaves two long side panels.
The peach box in our photo uses one for a column of small icons: how to use, how to rinse, how to dry.
Keep the ingredients and the weight on the back panel and the brand on the front. Use the second side for a short line on how long the bar lasts and how to hang it to dry.
Inside print is available on request. A single line under the top flap, read as the box opens, is enough.
The loofah is springy, and a bar forced into a tight carton arrives with the fibre flattened.
These steps keep it standing.
Not every loofah is set in soap.
Dried loofah slices, whole sponges and loofah pads on a strap are sold boxed too, often in threes.
A single sponge slice about 100 mm across fits a 110 x 110 x 50 mm tuck end with a window. Three pads stack in a lid and base about 130 x 130 x 80 mm.
Sponges weigh almost nothing, so the carton can be light board. If the set includes a bar as well, a divided insert keeps the soap off the dry fibre. Our bath and body box range has the trays and sets for that.
Ordering a standard 30 mm deep soap box is the first.
Loofah bars will not fit, and the tucks tear when forced.
Putting the window on the soap side is the second. The customer sees plain soap and never learns there is a loofah in it.
The third is gloss lamination near a sink. Water marks show on gloss within a week, so ask for the matt option.
Tell us whether the box is for loofah soap, a sponge or a set, with the sizes measured across the fibre, the window you want and a quantity.
Each order is priced individually with £0.25 per unit as the floor, and your written quote confirms it.
Our designers set the artwork and the window outline on a free proof. Once you approve it, the cartons take 4 to 6 business days to produce.
Free tracked delivery then reaches any UK address in two to three business days. Cartons arriving misprinted or damaged are reprinted or refunded if you report them inside ten days with photos. Ask for a price through the loofah box quote form.
Choose a real photo of the box you have in mind, put your logo on it, pick a colour and finish, and send it over. Our designers turn it into a free, print-ready proof.

The more we know about what goes inside, the bottle or jar, the quantity and the look you are after, the sharper the price. A packaging specialist replies within one business day with a written quote and a free design proof.
