Do you make soap boxes for round bars?
Yes. A square tuck end box or a round lid and base both work, and a card ring insert on request stops the bar rolling.

Written prices from £0.25 a box. Free proof, made in 4–6 business days, free tracked UK delivery.
Four ways to box a bar: a tuck end carton, a kraft box with a round cut-out, a drawer box and a rigid lid and base with an insert. Tell us the weight and shape of your bar and we size the box around it.

| Bar | Typical box size |
|---|---|
| 80 g guest bar, about 70 x 50 x 22 mm | About 75 x 55 x 25 mm tuck end |
| 100 g rectangular bar, roughly 85 x 55 x 25 mm | About 90 x 60 x 30 mm tuck end |
| 120 g cold-process bar, about 85 x 60 x 30 mm | About 90 x 65 x 35 mm tuck end |
| 150 g round bar, about 80 mm across x 30 mm | About 85 x 85 x 35 mm lid and base |
| 150 g rectangular bar, about 90 x 65 x 32 mm | About 95 x 70 x 35 mm drawer or tuck end |
Soap boxes are printed cartons made to hold one bar of soap for sale or posting.
We cut them to the length, width and depth of your bar so nothing rattles. Print can be plain, one colour or full colour. A free design proof comes first, the boxes take 4 to 6 business days to make, and UK delivery is free.
A soap box is a small printed carton that holds a single bar.
The simplest version is a tuck end carton cut from one sheet of board, glued down one side and closed with a flap at each end.
Our photos show the other three styles we quote. A kraft tuck box with a small round cut-out so the bar peeps through. A drawer box, where a printed sleeve slides over a tray holding the bar. And a rigid two-piece box with a foam insert cut to the bar, for the premium end of a range.
All four are made to the bar you hand us. There is no stock size to squeeze into.
Bar soap sells in more places than most products.
The box has to look right on a market table, on a hotel bathroom shelf and in a mail-order parcel.
The makers below are the ones we quote most often. Makers who want the bar visible through the front usually move up to our window soap boxes with film or cut-outs instead.
Measure the bar after it has cured and shrunk, not the day it leaves the mould.
A typical 100 g rectangular bar ends up about 85 x 55 x 25 mm.
Add 3 to 5 mm on each dimension so the bar slides in without forcing the flaps. For most 100 g bars that means a 90 x 60 x 30 mm box, the size we quote most in this range.
Round bars need a square box or a round lid and base. A pleated 150 g round bar about 80 mm across sits best in an 85 x 85 x 35 mm lid and base. A card ring stops it rolling.
If your bars vary from batch to batch, size the box to the biggest one. Our common UK cosmetic box sizes page lists more bar and box pairings.
The board sets the feel of the box as much as the print does.
Every board, rigid and finish option is quoted on request, and the table below is how we usually describe them to makers.
| Board | Looks and feels | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Kraft board | Brown, slightly textured, warm one colour print | Market stalls, farm shops, bars with a rustic look |
| White folding boxboard, about 350 gsm | Smooth and bright, sharp full colour print | Brand colours, patterns, hotel amenity runs |
| Textured or linen board | Visible grain, takes foil well | Apothecary and botanical ranges |
| Rigid greyboard with a printed wrap | Thick, heavy, stays square | Gift counters, bars sold with a dish or in a set |
The front panel is small, so one strong element works better than four.
A big wordmark, a single illustration or a flat block of colour reads from across a shop far better than a busy label.
One colour on kraft costs least and still looks deliberate. For florals, fruit and anything photographic, go for full colour CMYK on white board.
Foil stamping on the brand name and a matt lamination are the two finishes we quote most on soap boxes. Embossing the logo on a rigid lid is a good third option. The beauty packaging print finishes guide shows how each one looks on board.
Tuck end cartons do not.
A snug fit holds the bar and the flaps keep it in place.
Rigid lid and base boxes do, because the bar sits loose inside a box that is deeper than it is. A die-cut foam insert, like the black one in our first photo, frames the bar and stops it sliding. A card insert does the same job at a lower cost. Both are available on request.
Drawer boxes sit between the two. The tray holds the bar closely, and a tissue wrap on request stops scuffing when the drawer slides.
A boxed bar is tougher in transit than a wrapped one, but a few habits keep the corners sharp.
Most bars stand on their long edge, so the front panel is the one facing the customer.
Put the scent name, the weight and the brand there, and move the ingredients list to the back.
On a hotel shelf, a lid and base box reads as a gift and gets taken home. On a market table, a kraft tuck box stacks cleanly and takes a hand-written price sticker without looking cheap.
Bars sold in twos and threes do better in a presentation set. Our soap gift boxes for sets of bars cover ribbon, inserts and multi-bar trays.
Sizing to a fresh bar is the big one.
Cold-process bars lose water as they cure and can shrink by a few millimetres, so a tight box becomes a loose one.
Ordering thin board for a heavy rigid look is another. A 350 gsm carton cannot be made to feel like a lid and base box, so choose the construction first and the print second.
Finally, printing a batch date or a shelf life in the artwork locks you to one run. Leave a blank panel and apply a small label instead.
Send the bar size and weight, the style you want, the board, and roughly how many you need.
We do not impose a minimum; your order is priced on its own, with £0.25 per unit as the starting point, and the quote states the figure in writing.
Our designers lay out your artwork for free and email a proof. Approve it and the run needs 4 to 6 business days, after which the boxes go out with free UK tracking and land in 2 to 3 business days.
A misprinted or damaged box is replaced or refunded, provided we hear from you within 10 days and see photos. If you would rather talk it through first, the contact page with phone and WhatsApp has every way to reach us.
Choose a real photo of the box you have in mind, put your logo on it, pick a colour and finish, and send it over. Our designers turn it into a free, print-ready proof.

The more we know about what goes inside, the bottle or jar, the quantity and the look you are after, the sharper the price. A packaging specialist replies within one business day with a written quote and a free design proof.
