Gift boxes for fragrance sets: a 100 ml bottle with a travel vial, two 50 ml bottles in their cartons, or four minis under a clear lid. Rigid or folding, with an insert that holds glass still and a lid that opens on a hinge, a magnet or a ribbon.

| Set | Typical box size |
|---|---|
| 50 ml bottle and 10 ml vial, lying flat | About 170 x 130 x 70 mm |
| 100 ml bottle and 30 ml bottle, lying flat | About 220 x 160 x 70 mm |
| Two 50 ml bottles in their own cartons | About 240 x 170 x 90 mm |

Perfume gift boxes are presentation boxes made for a fragrance set rather than a single bottle.
They hold one bottle with a vial or a roll-on, a pair of bottles, or a row of minis, each in a cut-out so glass never touches glass. Most are rigid with a magnetic, lift-off or window lid, and all are made to your bottles.
Fragrance sets come in a few fixed shapes.
The most common is a full bottle with a travel size of the same scent. Next is a pair of 50 ml bottles in different scents, then the discovery set of four to six minis.
Each set needs the glass held apart. Perfume bottles are heavy, square-cornered and often have a metal or crystal cap, and two of them loose in a box chip each other in the first mile.
So every perfume gift box here is built round an insert. The outer can be a black rigid box with a gold frame, a cream textured box with a lid that lifts off, or a kraft lid and base with a clear window, but the insert is always cut to the bottles.
Gift sets are the fragrance trade's busiest format in the run up to Valentine's and Mother's Day, and they sell all year at wedding and birthday time.
The box has to carry a price well above the single bottle.
Single-bottle cartons and rigid boxes for the same bottles are in our perfume and fragrance packaging range, so a set and its refills can share a look.
Measure the bottle across its widest face, its depth, and its full height with the cap on.
A typical 50 ml square bottle is about 50 x 35 mm and 110 mm tall capped. A 10 ml vial is about 18 mm wide and 85 mm long.
Lying flat side by side, those two need an insert of about 140 x 100 mm with 15 mm between them. Add the insert border and the wall thickness and the box comes out around 170 x 130 x 70 mm, with the depth set by the bottle at 35 mm plus foam.
A 100 ml bottle pushes the width past 200 mm. Standing sets are deeper and narrower, and they suit a lid and base rather than a flap. Our guide to common box sizes in the UK lists the usual bottle footprints to check.
A perfume bottle is the heaviest object we box for its size.
Foam is the usual insert because it grips the glass and absorbs a knock. Card works for minis and vials.
The cut-out should follow the bottle shape, not just a rectangle round it. A square bottle in a square hole can rotate and chip a corner; a cut-out with a 1 mm border holds it still.
Caps are the catch. A crystal or wooden cap is wider than the bottle shoulder, so the cut-out needs a step or a second layer to clear it. We take the cap size with the bottle size on every quote. Inserts are made on request.
| Insert | Holds | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| Foam, shaped cut-outs | Full bottles and a vial, lying flat | Any glass bottle over 30 ml |
| Foam, two layers | Bottle body below, cap clearance above | Wide crystal or wooden caps |
| Card platform with holes | Minis and vials standing in a row | Discovery sets, favours |
| Card with paper fill | Bottles already in their own cartons | Pairs of boxed 50 ml bottles |
A lid and base box is the classic fragrance gift.
The lid lifts straight off, the set sits in its insert, and a ribbon round the whole box finishes it. It suits minis and bottle-and-vial sets.
A magnetic flap box opens like a book, which works for a pair of bottles standing up with the lid lining printed. It is the style in our photo with two boxed 50 ml bottles on shredded paper.
A drawer box pulls out on a ribbon and suits a single large bottle with a vial. Each style is described in our box styles guide for tuck, magnetic and drawer.
Yes, and it sells well for minis.
A lid with a clear film panel shows the bottles in their cut-outs without opening the box, which suits a shop shelf or a wedding favour table.
The window needs a film backing, added as an option, and the lid frame round it should be at least 15 mm wide so the lid stays stiff. A ribbon across the corner of a window lid is a common touch.
For a dark rigid box with a full bottle inside, skip the window. The weight of the box and the foil frame on the lid do the selling, and a closed lid keeps light off the perfume.
Black soft touch with a gold foil frame or logo is the standard look for an oud or an evening scent.
Cream or white textured board with a blind emboss suits a lighter floral set.
Metallic board, or a metallic wrap on a rigid box, gives a gold or rose gold box without foil over the whole surface. It is an option on both folding and rigid builds. Board, rigid and finish options are available on request.
Inside, a contrast lining in gold, yellow or deep red under the lid frames the glass. Finishes and their costs are compared in our guide to foil stamping and soft touch.
Perfume is glass and liquid, so the gift box goes inside a snug outer for a single order.
The insert stops the bottles moving and a tissue sheet stops the lid rubbing the caps.
For a pair of bottles already in their cartons, the gift box holds the cartons rather than the bare glass. Paper fill round the cartons keeps them from sliding, as in our magnetic box photo.
Trade cases of six rigid boxes should sit lid up with a card layer between rows. Tell us your case count and we size the box to suit.
Boxed perfume sets are usually built by hand in short runs.
This order keeps it quick.
Measuring the bottle without the cap is the first.
A crystal cap can add 25 mm of width and the cut-out will not take it.
Choosing a card insert for a full 100 ml bottle is the second. Card holds minis, but a heavy bottle needs foam or it moves in the post.
Leaving the box lining plain grey is the third. On a black box, a gold or red lining is what makes the opening feel like a gift. Single bottle rigid boxes for the same look are our magnetic lid boxes for perfume bottles.
Tell us which bottles go in the set, with their width, depth and capped height, and how they should lie.
Send a photo of the bottles together if you can. Say whether you want a window lid, a magnet or a plain lid and base, and give the quantity.
You see a free design proof of the wrap, the lining and the insert before we make anything. Quantities are quoted per order from £0.25 per unit, with the written quote confirming the price for your box and insert.
Production is 4–6 business days after approval and free tracked delivery covers the UK in 2–3 business days. Misprints or transit damage reported within 10 days with photos are reprinted or refunded, as set out on our reprints and refunds terms.
Choose a real photo of the box you have in mind, put your logo on it, pick a colour and finish, and send it over. Our designers turn it into a free, print-ready proof.

The more we know about what goes inside, the bottle or jar, the quantity and the look you are after, the sharper the price. A packaging specialist replies within one business day with a written quote and a free design proof.
