Can an open-front cleanser box be closed again?
No, the front panel folds down and locks into the tray for display. For a closed box use the tuck end carton.

Written prices from £0.25 a box. Free proof, made in 4–6 business days, free tracked UK delivery.
Cartons for cleansers, face washes and any bottle with a pump, in a closed tuck end or an open-front style that shows the bottle on a tray. Matt black for a men's range or textured white for a clinic line, cut to your bottle and proofed free.

| Bottle | Typical box size |
|---|---|
| 40 ml airless pump | About 38 x 38 x 125 mm |
| 120 ml cleanser pump | About 50 x 50 x 170 mm |
| 150 ml foaming cleanser | About 52 x 52 x 180 mm |
| 200 ml gel cleanser | About 55 x 55 x 195 mm |
Cleanser and pump bottle boxes are printed cartons made for face wash, cleansing cream and other pump-top bottles between about 40 and 200 ml.
They come as a closed tuck end carton or an open-front display box with a tray that holds the bottle in view. Each is cut to the bottle and pump height, printed in your colours and proofed before production.
A cleanser box is a carton for a pump bottle that sits by a sink and is used twice a day.
Two versions appear in our photos. The first is a closed tuck end carton, in matt black for a men's facial lotion and in textured white for a 120 ml cleanser.
The second is an open-front display carton. The front panel folds down and locks into a tray, so the bottle stands in a frame with the pump showing. Customers see the real bottle and the brand print at the same time.
The open-front version is a single piece of board like the closed one. It folds flat and ships flat, with the tray creased into the blank.
Any bottle with a pump head or a disc cap.
The size range is wide, from a 40 ml airless pump to a 200 ml gel cleanser, and the buyers are just as varied.
A cleanser box is usually one of three or four cartons in a line. The rest of the skincare packaging products for UK brands are built to match it.
A 120 ml round bottle with a lockable pump stands about 165 mm with the pump up and about 150 mm locked.
Measure the position you will ship in. Add 5 mm to that height and 3 mm each way to the width.
On an open-front display carton, the height is the frame height. Keep it at least 10 mm above the pump so the top edge does not hide the pump head.
Treat these as starting points. The cosmetic box size chart for UK brands has more, and your bottle sample settles the final cut.
| Bottle | Height, pump up | Typical closed carton |
|---|---|---|
| 40 ml airless pump | About 120 mm | About 38 x 38 x 125 mm |
| 120 ml cleanser | About 165 mm | About 50 x 50 x 170 mm |
| 150 ml foaming pump | About 175 mm | About 52 x 52 x 180 mm |
| 200 ml gel cleanser | About 190 mm | About 55 x 55 x 195 mm |
Closed cartons protect the bottle and give you six printed panels.
They suit online sales, clinic shelves and anything that travels.
Open-front cartons sell the bottle itself. They suit a counter in a salon or a shop where customers pick the product up, and they are a good fit for a bottle with a strong label.
If you want a whole counter unit rather than a single box, look at our counter display boxes for cosmetics, which hold several bottles in one printed stand.
Standard folding boxboard, roughly 350 to 400 gsm, prints any colour.
The textured white carton in our photos is a linen-effect board with black type and no lamination, which gives a quiet, clinical look.
The matt black carton is a dark board with soft touch lamination and silver type. It suits men's grooming and dark-themed ranges. Dark board hides scuffs that would show on white.
Different boards, rigid constructions and finishes are available on request; the quote states what we have used.
The carton gets wet hands on it.
Matt lamination is the practical choice on a printed board, because it wipes clean and resists water marks.
Soft touch lamination gives the velvet feel on black and navy cartons. Spot UV on the logo over a matt laminate adds a wet-look contrast that suits cleansers.
Foil is an option for a premium edition. Our page on which beauty packaging finishes go together describes each pairing.
Lock the pump before boxing.
An unlocked pump pressed in a parcel squirts cleanser inside the carton and ruins the print.
The closed carton holds the bottle well if it is cut tight. Open-front display cartons are for counters, not post. If you do post them, lay a sheet of card over the front and put them in an outer box.
Brands shipping to customers each day often pair the carton with printed cosmetic mailer boxes that take the outer wear.
On a clinic shelf, two or three closed cartons in a row with the product name at eye level is enough.
Keep the ingredients on the back and the claims off the front.
For a salon backwash or reception, the open-front carton earns its place. Stand it on the counter with the pump facing the customer and a tester bottle beside it.
A dark carton and a light carton from the same range, as in our photos, give a day and night or his and hers pair without changing the dieline.
The pump is forgotten more often than you would think.
Bottles are measured without it, the carton is cut and the pump will not fit. We ask for the pump height every time.
On open-front cartons, printing fine type on the fold-down front panel is a mistake. That panel sits at an angle and the type is hard to read. Keep it to the logo.
Last is ordering white board for a dark design. Heavy solid ink on white board shows every scuff as a white line. Use a dark board or matt lamination.
The order is a short sequence.
Should a carton reach you misprinted or crushed, photos inside 10 days bring a reprint or a refund.
Start with the quote form for cleanser boxes and we take it from there.
Choose a real photo of the box you have in mind, put your logo on it, pick a colour and finish, and send it over. Our designers turn it into a free, print-ready proof.

The more we know about what goes inside, the bottle or jar, the quantity and the look you are after, the sharper the price. A packaging specialist replies within one business day with a written quote and a free design proof.

No, the front panel folds down and locks into the tray for display. For a closed box use the tuck end carton.
Only if the pump height is the same. Pumps vary by 5 to 10 mm, so send the new pump and we check.
Yes, black board with soft touch lamination and silver or white print is an option, as in our photos.
Yes, on request. We suggest it for 200 ml bottles that are picked up by the top of the carton.
Yes, textured and linen boards are options. They print best with dark type and no lamination.
Yes. A clear window panel on a closed carton shows the bottle while keeping the box sealed.
Yes, if both bottles share a size. Most brands keep one dieline and change the artwork between products.
Flat, with the tray creased in. You fold the carton, drop the bottle in and fold the front down into the tray.
An open-front carton uses a little more board and an extra crease, so it is quoted separately. All prices start from £0.25 per unit.
As many as you need. Each order gets its own quote, and the number you give sets the unit figure.
