How many bottles fit in a nail polish collection box?
Common inserts hold 3, 6 or 12 bottles. We cut a well for each bottle, so other counts and mixed bottle sizes can be quoted.

Written prices from £0.25 a box. Free proof, made in 4–6 business days, free tracked UK delivery.
A rigid magnetic box with a cut insert that holds six bottles upright and a printed lid lining, as in our photos, or a small tuck end carton for a single bottle. Sized to your bottle, printed in your colours.

| Bottle or set | Typical box size |
|---|---|
| 15 ml round bottle, 30 x 78 mm with cap | 34 x 34 x 85 mm carton |
| 10 ml square bottle, 28 x 70 mm | 32 x 32 x 76 mm carton |
| 15 ml gel polish bottle, 32 x 80 mm | 36 x 36 x 88 mm carton |
| Six 15 ml bottles in a row | About 230 x 70 x 85 mm |
| Twelve bottles in two rows | About 230 x 130 x 85 mm |
Nail polish boxes are printed boxes for glass polish bottles, either a carton for one bottle or a collection box with an insert for several.
A single 15 ml bottle takes a carton about 34 mm square and 85 mm tall. Collection boxes are usually rigid with a magnetic lid and a card or foam insert.
The grey box in our photos is a rigid base with a hinged lid and a magnet in the front edge.
Inside, a dark card insert has six wells, each cut to the bottle, so the bottles stand upright with the caps level.
The lid lining is printed with brushes dripping colour, which is the first thing you see on opening. That inside print is an option on every rigid box we make.
A single bottle carton is a simpler folding box. It is a square tube with tuck flaps, about 34 mm across. The bottle slides in and the cap sits just under the top flap.
Indie polish brands are the obvious ones, because a six-shade collection in one box sells for more than six loose bottles.
Gel polish brands selling to nail technicians use the same box for a starter set.
Nail salons that mix their own shades or sell a house polish at reception order single cartons. Press-on nail makers often add a polish to a kit and need a well for it in the insert.
All of this sits in our makeup, lash and nail packaging range, next to the lash boxes a salon might order at the same time.
A typical 15 ml polish bottle is about 30 mm across and 78 mm tall with the cap.
A single carton for it is about 34 x 34 x 85 mm inside.
Bottle shapes vary a lot, from round to square to the tapered bottle in our photos. Measure the widest point and the full height with the cap on, because the cap is often the widest part.
Collection boxes are sized from the bottle count and the insert. The table gives the usual ones, and our UK cosmetic box size chart has more small cartons.
| Bottle | Size with cap | Carton or box inside size |
|---|---|---|
| 15 ml round polish | 30 x 78 mm | 34 x 34 x 85 mm carton |
| 10 ml square polish | 28 x 28 x 70 mm | 32 x 32 x 76 mm carton |
| 15 ml gel polish, wide cap | 32 x 80 mm | 36 x 36 x 88 mm carton |
| Six 15 ml bottles | Six wells, 36 mm each | About 230 x 70 x 85 mm |
| Twelve 15 ml bottles | Two rows of six | About 230 x 130 x 85 mm |
A collection box is the better seller when your shades belong together.
Six bottles in a row with the caps level is a strong product photo and a ready-made gift.
A single carton is for the bottle sold on its own, at a salon reception or through a retailer who needs a barcode. It is cheap and stacks in a counter unit.
Mini bottles, 5 ml or so, work well as a trio in a small lid and base box. For mixed bundles with a hand cream or a file, see our cosmetic gift box options.
Glass bottles that touch each other in a box chip at the shoulder.
The insert has to hold each bottle in its own well with a few millimetres of board between them.
Card inserts are cut from board and work for most polish sets. Foam inserts are an option when the set will be posted a lot, because the foam grips the bottle and absorbs a drop.
Cut the wells about 2 mm larger than the bottle base. Any tighter and the bottle has to be forced in; any looser and it rocks.
Six full polish bottles weigh enough that the box needs a rigid build.
Greyboard with a printed wrap keeps the base flat and lets the magnet close cleanly every time.
Single cartons use folding boxboard around 400 gsm, which is heavier than we use for a lipstick carton because the bottle is glass. A locking base is an option for heavier 15 ml bottles.
Textured or linen wrap is a popular choice for a collection box, and the black box in our photos uses a fine textured paper. We confirm the board, the wrap and any finish on your written quote.
A polish collection box is opened in front of someone, so the lid lining is worth printing.
Shade swatches, the collection name or a pattern in the collection colours all work.
The outside can stay quiet. A matt wrap with the brand in foil, and the colour saved for inside, is the look most polish brands land on.
Spot UV on a printed drip or a gloss swatch is an option that catches light on a counter. The way each finish behaves on wrap and board is explained in our guide to print finishes on cosmetic boxes.
The bottle must not move, and the box corners must not take the hit.
A fitted insert handles the first part, and an outer mailer with padding handles the second.
Post single cartons in a mailer with a card divider between them, never loose in a padded envelope. Six cartons side by side support each other.
Our cosmetic mailer boxes for glass bottles can be cut with a corrugated sleeve inside so a collection box arrives with clean corners.
The first is measuring the bottle without its cap.
Polish caps are often the widest part and add 10 to 15 mm of height, so a carton cut to the glass will not close.
The second is wells cut to the bottle shoulder rather than the base. A tapered bottle sits in the well by its base, so that is the measurement that matters.
The third is a lid lining in a pale colour under a dark polish range. Deep reds and navies look better on a dark lining, as the black box in our photos shows.
Send us the bottle size with cap, the bottle count per box and a rough quantity.
Boxes are quoted per order, from £0.25 per unit for single cartons, and the written quote confirms the figure for your set box.
A free proof shows the lid, the insert layout and any inside print before anything is made. Production takes 4 to 6 business days once you approve it, with free tracked delivery to your UK address in 2 to 3 business days. Boxes that arrive misprinted or damaged, reported within 10 days with photos, are reprinted or refunded. Send the brief through the nail polish box quote page with a photo of your bottle.
Choose a real photo of the box you have in mind, put your logo on it, pick a colour and finish, and send it over. Our designers turn it into a free, print-ready proof.

The more we know about what goes inside, the bottle or jar, the quantity and the look you are after, the sharper the price. A packaging specialist replies within one business day with a written quote and a free design proof.

About 34 x 34 x 85 mm inside for a 15 ml round bottle 30 mm across and 78 mm tall with its cap. We cut it to your bottle.
Yes. Inside print on the lid is an option on rigid boxes, and most polish brands use it for shade swatches or the collection name.
Yes. Gel bottles are often a little wider at the cap, so send the cap width and height and we size the carton or well to it.
Not with a fitted insert. Each bottle sits in its own well with board between them, and foam inserts are available for sets posted often.
A front window on single cartons is an option, so the shade shows on the shelf. Collection boxes rely on the lid opening instead.
Yes. The rigid greyboard base carries the weight and the insert stops the bottles moving. We confirm the board on the quote.
Minis need smaller wells and a shallower box, so they get their own insert and size. A mini trio in a lid and base box is a common request.
Yes. Collection boxes arrive made up with the insert fitted. Single cartons arrive flat and fold in seconds.
Yes. Full colour CMYK print lets each carton carry a swatch of its shade, with the shade name set as a changing panel.
